Elliott Gilbert II
Elliott Gilbert II is a local actor, poet, and teacher. Elliott has been featured in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with The Butterfly Connection, A Midsummer Night's Dream as Lysander at Bass Performance Hall, A Raisin in the Sun as George with Jubilee Theatre, Too Close to the Flame as Danes(lead) with Texas Radio Theatre Company, Beyond Blue Hole as Stub(featured) with Hip Pocket Theatre, A Gentle Story as Jimmy Night(lead) with The Butterfly Connection, The Dutchman (with writer Amiri Baraka), Six Degrees of Seperation, and Short Eyes at SMU Theatre. He's been teaching theatre for 2 years with Rhythm Nation Studios in Bedford and special workshops such as Gear Up in Meridian, Mississippi. Elliott is a talented poet having completed three books of poetry, fluent guitar player, excellent vocalist, and competent arts administrator.
