The Butterfly Connection, a local multi-arts collaborative, is looking for talented new film artists to feature in their annual offerings.
TBC is producing a short film competition amongst local high school students searching for passionate youth with skills for the camera. Students must fill out an application form and return a short film by the deadline date. Local high school students searching for passionate youth with skills for the camera. Students must fill out an application form and return a short film by the deadline date. The competition is open to all high school students within the DFW area. The subject matter and style of films is open to all themes and genres.

Each film will be judged according to:
Artistic Merit:
  • Originality of Style
  • Uniqueness of Subject Matter or how the story addresses the subject matter.
  • Technique in executing the film.
  • Did the judges enjoy the film.
This competition is about creating a film you want to create and experiencing how that effects an audience. The Grand Prize winner will have their film featured on the TBC website and receive a private viewing on the Big Screen for family and friends, up to 200 PEOPLE! Other prizes will be given away to students for originality, 2nd and 3rd prize, and honorary mention.
